NEW COLLECTORS’ PROGRAM
New Collectors’ Program
ISE-DA's New Collectors’ Program is a membership for Black professionals interested in art collecting. Aiming to help Black professionals acquire, understand, and support Black cultural production, our program provides a space for members to learn more about the process of art collecting and the wider art ecosystem.
Each tier of our progressive membership offers increasingly customized benefits, artworks, and advisory services. Members gain an understanding of the impacts of art collecting and the importance of developing a strategic approach. This subscription program includes exclusive tours of exhibitions, artist studios, and fairs.
With each year split into two seasons of programming (spring/summer and fall/winter), the New Collectors’ Program introduces members to different artists and increasingly makes accessible a larger range of works by global Black artists.
Our New Collectors’ Program is currently only offered in-person in New York and virtually nationwide, but if you are based outside of New York and are interested in keeping up to date as we roll out the program and more events in other cities, fill out our Interest Form here.

Membership Tiers
Information about our first two tiers is below. Our third tier (Cultural Steward) will launch in 2026.
The sign-up window to join our in-person or digital program for Fall/Winter 2025 is now closed. The membership window to join in Spring/Summer 2026 opens in February 2026.
Prospective members can join the Cultural Enthusiast tier during the open enrollment periods. Registration links are activated at the start of each season’s enrollment window. Applications for the Cultural Patron and Cultural Steward tiers may be submitted at any time. However, these applications are reviewed and confirmed only during the official enrollment periods — typically February through March for the Spring/Summer season and August through September for the Fall/Winter season.
Register Your Interest if you’d like to stay informed about upcoming enrollment periods, and Apply to be a Cultural Patron / Steward if you’re ready to be considered for those tiers.

Continuity of Programming
The New Collectors Program is designed to establish a long-term foundation for art collection and cultural stewardship. As members progress through the tiers, they gain deeper access to education, peer networks, and critical support for engaging the diasporic arts ecosystem with intention.
In recognition of this commitment, engaged members are offered priority access to ISE-DA’s annual Temperature Check cultural experiences — part of an international, multi-year, site-based research initiative that explores and deepens the understanding of Black collecting, patronage, and cultural production on a diasporic scale.
