ISE-DA x Soho House: Collecting Black Art

On June 28th, in collaboration with Soho Works and as one of the Soho House Creative Fellows, we hosted our second Soho House event about the importance of collecting Black art.

With 60+ attendees, an interactive breakout session, and panelists Adama Diggs, an art collector working at JP Morgan Private Bank, and Archiebald Raphulu, a NY-based gallerist and curator with a recently opened European show, Collecting Black Art was a great success.

Our audience included artists, gallerists, art lawyers, and a range of Black professionals from Meta, Google, Nvidia, and more interested in art collecting.

They gained great insight from our panelists about collecting strategies, cultivating your taste in art, and the importance of relationship-building when collecting art. Our panelists also shared stories about the artworks they regret not collecting!

We look forward to further events in our support of the cultural stewardship of Black contemporary art
