ART ADVISORY SERVICES

ART ADVISORY

ISE-DA provides bespoke advisory services for collectors and cultural institutions committed to engaging with African and diasporic art. We support private clients in building thoughtful, long-term collections through tailored guidance, market access, and educational support. For museums and cultural organizations, we offer strategic counsel on patron cultivation, diaspora-centered programming, and institutional repositioning.

Grounded in global research and cross-diasporic engagement, our advisory practice supports clients in building discerning, globally informed collections grounded in scholarship, cultural exchange, and sustained relationships with artists and institutions.

We prioritize education, collecting beyond a transaction, and meaningful participation in global artistic ecosystems — guiding collectors to become thoughtful stewards and influential contributors to the growth of Black artistic production worldwide.

Our advisory services include but are not limited to: Acquisition, Sales and Collection Management, Art History and Institutional Market Research, Education, and Market Strategy.

ISE-DA operates globally, with ongoing work in North America, South America, Europe, and Africa.

  • Our private advisory supports individuals looking to develop cohesive and culturally informative art collections. This includes collections management, education about the market, and sourcing artworks.

  • ISE-DA supports institutions with acquisitions of African diasporic art, strategies on patron development, programming on Black modern and contemporary art, and cultural development for museum repositioning.

  • With our international reach, ISE-DA has access to key emerging artists and markets. We work with corporations looking to diversify their art collections.

  • Cultural initiatives are public or private development projects that engage with the purchasing, curation, and/or critical theory of Black cultural production. ISE-DA’s development of Cultural DC’s city-wide inaugural TORRRENTS: New Links to Black Futures program is a cultural initiatives project launched in 2022. Civic initiatives are public or private development projects centered on Black contemporary art.

  • Special Projects are one-off or annual events such as developing programming, site-specific collection building, exhibitions, and large-scale curatorial projects. Examples include ISE-DA’s selection as a cultural partner for Carnegie Hall’s city-wide Afrofuturism festival.
