OPTIONAL PRE-PROGRAM EXTENSION Belo Horizonte + Inhotim | Sept 11–14, 2026 3 Nights / 4 Days

For a limited number of Rio program participants, we are offering an optional pre-program extension in Minas Gerais — a slow entry into the broader Brazil journey before the contemporary art circuit in Rio begins.

The centerpiece of this extension is Inhotim Institute — one of the world's largest open-air contemporary art museums, set across 140 hectares of botanical garden in the interior of Minas Gerais. Inhotim houses permanent site-specific commissions by artists including Hélio Oiticica, Cildo Meireles, Tunga, and Adriana Varejão, and is home to significant works by Black Brazilian artists including Marepe and Cinthia Marcelle. It is considered one of the most significant contemporary art destinations in the world.

This extension is intentionally unhurried, dedicating 2 full days to exploring the open-air museum. More details about the museum can be found here

Capacity is limited. Please confirm your interest using the application form below.
